Katie Baldwin was invited as a visiting artist at the University of Kansas Visual Art Department. During a week-long visit in February 2011, Katie gave an artist talk at the Spencer Museum of Art, gave a Mokuhanga demonstration at the Lawrence Arts Center, and made two editions of prints (both combination of photo litho + mokuhanga) with faculty and students in the Printmaking area.
Printmaking students assisted from planning, carving the woodblocks to printing with Katie. It was a unique way for students to see and learn how Mokuhanga is done from start to finish.
